What's Up??

What's Up??
Mike Wazowski is one of my fave characters from Monster's Inc. After of course cutie pie little miss boo. But as you know I have been making birthday cards for one year olds. This is yet again another one of those cards!!! However, I am done showcasing them all...I am onto different things!!! ha ha ha...always onto different things, not always crafting as I am working full time and have a household to maintain...alas....so do many of you, (no use preaching o the choir) so I thank you for taking time out of your day to check my stuff out and leaving some love for me!! So THANK YOU!!!

Recipe: Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge, Best of Pixar Cricut Cartridge, Recollections cardstock, shimmer micheals orange ribbon, sakura white gel pen, My Pink Stamper Punnylicious, and Green Stickles. This was tons of fun to make and it was even funner to give to my daughters little buddy. He was actually born only one hour ahead of us in the same hospital. So it was really fun to make this card for him. Our families share a lot of special memories with each other from the hospital!! Thanks for stopping by!

Best of Pixar Flames

Hi all,

This is going to be a quick one. I made this card for a girlfriend's baby who is turning one. He has always been a bit of a terror...ie he was a bit colicky, never could be put down, never napped, and as he got older he gets into everything!! A really fun baby, but very very busy (as most are). When I recently got the Best of Pixar cartridge, the baby in the incredibles reminded me of him. He was always lighting stuff on fire, at the end of the movie anyways! and very cute! ha ha ha...anyways this is the card I made for him.

I usually don't do anything to the inside of the card, but I had some extra scraps that worked well and I needed to get the birthday stamp on it.
Recipe: Best of Pixar Cricut Cartridge, Create a Critter Cartridge (Flames), lemondrop, maraschino cherry red, and mandarin bakers twine from the twinery, recollections cardstock, DCWV christmas combo stack for the striped paper, yellow and orange peel stickles, scrappy moms sweet stuff stamps set, jillian vance designs owl set, black tsukinenko ink, small scalloped octagons spellbinders.

Thanks for checking it out!!

So anyways, I finally got to use them and I am soo happy with them...it won't be too long till I'll be waiting another month for my next batch I'm sure!!  Anyways, here is my card:

Tri Fold Shutter Card

So this is my first attempt at a tri fold shutter card. I love this card, and how it looks (better when other people do it I think), if I wanted to write a big long note in my card, I don't think I would go with this format!! ha ha ha, it really takes a lot more planning than I initially thought. I started and I just kept on being like "now what, now what, what colour would look good here, what works here"...it was difficult, but I finally settled on everything, and I'm happy with the outcome I think. I do love ladybugs anyways...I got the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. If you want to do any funky folds or motion cards, that is where you can get some great tutorials!!

Recipe: DCWV Cardstock, Misc patterned paper from scrap stash, sizzizx DP, Happy Birthday misc stamps (I lost the packaging somehow and I can't remember what they are), fabric flowers from dollar store, recollections black brad, eyelet outlet jewel brads, tsukineko black ink, recollections flower border punch, green michaels ribbon.
This was fun to make, and I will definately be making it again, the reason that I'm not sure if I like it also too, is that as you can see it looks like the top bit is a bit too heavy and it sort of sags on the top. I think the reason this happens in two fold, one is because I used glue and two is because all the layers I have weigh it down too...I cannot wait to get my atg gun...my sister has it and she lives like 45 minutes away, and we have not had time to see each other since I went back to work...sadly!! So hopefully we can get together to scrap sometime soon!! Anyways, hope you enjoyed my project!!
A few more things!!  There is some awesome blog candy up for grabs!!
Check out Angela's Blog to enter yourself for a chance to win some awesome blog candies, there are three up for grabs!!  This pic is only one of the three batches!!
Also, I found this great blog called PSA Stamp Camp a while ago.  They have some awesome tutorials, and fantastic projects and challenges!!  They are looking for more followers and offering up some great candy to a lucky winner also!!  Please go and check them out!!  Have a great day!!

Finally a New Project!!

Okay, so I feel as if I have been out of things for a really long time....well I have.  I have returned to work, so I now don't have up to 3 hrs a day (during naps)to play around on the computer and blogging and in my craft room!!  ahhh!!  now I spend 8hrs (minimal) at work!!  ahh!!  ha ha ha...I have even returned to work fulltime, which is unusual for nurses I guess, everyone is pretty shocked anyway!!
I do love my dayhome provider, and so does my daughter, so it isn't so bad...I guess.  I do feel as though I miss out on a lot, and sometimes I feel a bit neglectful becuase she spends more time with dayhome provider then with my during the week...it makes me sad anyways...but I definately needed the socialization of my work for me.  I do love my work also, so that helps ease the pain of beign back and away from my daughter so much!  Anyways, onto my project for today.  I made a new baby card for my friend who just had a little boy in the end of February.  yay, if it wasn't obvious by the colours of the card.  So my card is below:
Recipe: Simply charmed Cricut Cartridge, Accents Essentials Cricut Cartridge, Recollections cardstock, threading water punch, waterfall stickles, misc ribbon and cardstock, scrappy moms sweet saying stamp set.
I really wanted to have a face on the baby, but for some wierd reason still waiting on my peachy keen stamps from their super bowl sale!! I knew I would ruin it if I tried to draw a face on after the fact, and by the time that I even noticed (which was after I photographed it) everything was all together, I wasn't doing everything all over again for a face!!  ha ha ha...ahh...I'm going crazy, literally, I can't do any preojects because I am still waiting for those stamps.  I want to use them for like everything!!!  (I of course will have to tell my hubby I won them when they do come, he he he!!!)
Anyways, hope you liked my card, it is safely in someone elses home right now!  yay!  I also thought you might like to know there is an awesome hop going on right now:

There are over 30 awesome blogs involved in the hop with some awesome prizes!!  hope you all have fun and enjoy!!  Thanks for joinging me and I hope to see you soon!!
OH YEAH!!!  Some exciting news for me....I will soon be making my first appearance in a blog hop!!  yay!!  I will be having some awesome blog candy for the hop also!!  Can't wait to see you all then...What hop you are asking...well....It is the St Paddy's day Blog Hop and will be taking place on March 17th at 11:30pm - March 19th at midnight!! (Only one day, so you'll have to be on the ball!!)

So I hope you all can join me and all the other fantabulous ladies for the hop!  I want to send out a shout out to Denise for helping me get involved and helping me out and teaching me about how it works (behind the scenes)!!  Yay!  So anyways, I will be posting again before the hop (hopefully of course) but Can't wait to see you all on st. paddy's day!!
