Christmas Stamp Camp Card #5

Okay, ths is the last card that we made at my Christmas in September Stamp Camp.  I had so much fun doing this, and I can't wait till Oct. 21 when I have my second Christmas Stamp Camp.  They will be another 5 different designs, so it's going to be a fun night!  If you are in the Calgary area, you are always welcome to join in the fun.  Check out www.brennaanderson.stampinup.net to RSVP for any of my events!!
Here is my card:
Recipe:
Stamps: Merry Minis, Tiny Tags.
Ink: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party.
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Holly Berry DSP (retired)
Accessories: 1/4" Grosgrain Whisper White (retired), Holly Berry designer buttons (retired).
Tools: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Glue Dots, SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, Merry Minis Punch Pack.
This card had two variations: there was a red strip and a green strip of DSP to cut into the banner, then you could change the buttons also.  Some of the ladies used the opposite sides of the DSP to give it a different look, and that looks really cute also!!  I am always amazed at the creativity everyone has within them.  Even those who think they aren't creative at all (they are lying to themselves!!  ha ha ha)!!
I love this stamp set, the little merry minis are all soo cute, but I do have to say thank god for the punch pack!!  I would definitely have a hard time using this stamp set if I had to fussy cut all the little images!!  SOO cute....anyways...
I love the simplicity of this card.  It is minimalist, but not...definitely clean and simple!!  Anyways, I jst wanted to post this last card!  I think the ladies who joined me were just as happy with the card choices as I was.  Can't wait for Oct 21...yay!  Thanks for checking me out!

Little Additions for Freshly Made Sketches #51

Hi all,

This is the first in a series of baby cards that I have made!  I have had a rash of friends having baby boys lately, so I have been on a binge!  This is one of the ones that I made...I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #51 to get me started...This is the Sketch:

And here is my take on it:
Recipe:
Stamps: Little Additions, Tiny Tags.
Ink: Baja Breeze, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse.
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Baja Breeze, Summer Starfruit, Naturals White.
Tools & Accessories:  Jewellery Tag Punch, Stampin' Peircer, Glue Dots, SNAIL, Sticky Strip, Scallopped Edge Border punch, Corner Rounder Punch, 3 Hearts punch, dazzling details, Victorian Lace ribbon (retired), Vintage Trinkets.

I have wanted to make a nursery scene for a long time with this set, since I bought it.  It was actually the reason that I bought this set...and this is the first time that I have used it for such a reason!  but I like how it turned out.  The colours go beautifully together, I love how the baja breeze fits right in with the richenss of the summer starfruit and the midnight muse!  anyways, thanks for checking me out again tonight!

Here We Go Again...

Well hello blogging world.  oh how I have missed thee!!  It has been like forever since I have blogged, but even longer since I have actually done any crafting on my own!!  (For these purposes, the classes and stuff that I go to don't count!)  ha ha ha...Anyways...so it has been a while...so long in fact that I am Pregnant!!  yay!  again...ha ha ha...not only am I pregnant, but I am 28 weeks pregnant!  no matter how close you are to the end, it is never close enough to the finish line!  but all has gone well so far...but I do have to say this pregnancy is part of the reason that I haven't been scrapping...I have been soo exhausted, just treading water basically with all the household stuff, Paisley, and work...but now I must be in the nesting phase right now becuase I feel pretty darn good, and am back to a somewhat normal level of energy!  Another fun thing about this pregnancy is that we dont' know the sex of the baby..again!  It was so exciting at the end of the whole labour to find out that Paisley was a little girl.  it is so surreal...and I just feel like it is one of life's true surprises left, and i just don't want to take that away from myself. So, I finally had a chance to do some scrapbooking for the new baby, it's first scrapbooking page!  I used the colours for this weeks Paper Players Challenge: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake.  I really really love the colour combination that they chose for this week.  I didn't think that it was too girly or too boyish at all, so I went with it.  I love love love the way that it turned out.
I know it doesn't look complete without the photo, but we actually haven't taken a photo for this page yet.  but I know exactly what I want it to be!  It is going to be Ryan, Paisley and I...possibly with the positive pregnancy test...scrapbook pages look so muhc better witht he picture in it...but i think it looks pretty darn cute already!!

Recipe:
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party.
Ink: Sahara Sand, Lucky Limeade (oops, i kinda goofed on the ink, for some reason I thought it was lucky limeade, and then I looked again and it was pear pizzazz which actually goes a bit better), Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party.
Stamps: Occasions Alphabet, Sweet Shoppe Lower Alphabet Clear, Tiny Tags, Dot Dot Dot, A to Z, Fine Flourish, En Francais, Parlour Prints,
Tools: Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, Paper Piercer, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals, Boho Blossoms Punch, Tiny Tags Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Scallop Border Edge Punch, Designer Frames Embossing Folders, clear block A, stamp-a-ma-jig, stampin' sponges, Big Shot.
Embellishments: Pool Party Bakers Twine, Paper Daisies, 2011-2013 In Colour Designer Brads, Neutral brads,  Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Poly Stitched Ribbon.

I also am going to submit this scrapbook page for another challenge over at freshly made sketches.  I know it's meant mostly for cards, but I love it when you can get some inspiration from a sketch (or advertisments or anything really) and transfer it to scrapbooking and crafting in general!  My layout is a bit turned around from this sketch...but the main components are the same!  This is the sketch!  Head on over and check it out!!
Anyways...thanks for checking me out!  I'm glad that I could finally play again, and i'm excited to get crackin on the scrapbooking catch up game.  Hopefully I can play some catch up and get finished with Paisley's scrapbook before the new baby comes!!  ha ha ha...Hopefully I can get going on that one!!  I'll be back soon!!!  thanks for checking me out.  Also, I think my mom might have a Pals Paper Arts Challeneg Entry for tomorrow!!  come check her out too!!!

New Blitherer on the Blog!!

Hello.  My name is Mona Burnett, and I am Brenna's Mom!!!  I have recently become a stampin up demonstrator also!!  After she joined and I saw all the great benefits she was getting, I decided to take the plunge and become a demosntrator myself!  woo hoo!!  I wanted to showcase my work also, but don't have a blog and have found myself somewhat technologically challenged...so I proposed a sharing of Brennas blitherings.  I have noticed that she has been sort of slacking in the posting area also...ha ha ha...hopefully between the two of us we can have a nice little blog with tons of Stampin' Up card and 3D item inspiration!!!
On to the first of hopefully many posts to come!!  My Neice and Nephew and throwing my brother and sister-in-law (follow??) a 60-60-40 party in the beginning of September!  (ie, they are both turning 60 and it is there 40th anniversary!)  What an accomplishment!! Super cool, and an event like that can't go without a celebration!!!  (or a card or two for that matter!!!)  For this anniversary card, I used the Pals Paper Arts Sketch 107 to guide my way (PPA107).  I chose to use Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White and Blushing Bride as my colours also.
Close up of the Tiny Tags:
Supplies:
Paper: Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake.
Stamps: Flower Fest, Tiny Tags.
Ink: Versamark, black embossing powder, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride.
Embellishments: Blushing Bride stitched poly ribbon, natural hemp twine, vintage trinkets, stampin pastels (pretty in pink)
Tools: Heat Tool, Sponge Daubers, 1 3/8" circle punch, jewelery tag punch, Lace ribbon border punch, 1/16" circle punch.
For the flowers I stamped them in versamark and then heat embossed with black embossing powder.  I then punched it out and burnished with the pretty in pink stampin pastels.  I thought about just stamping it on the blushing bride paper, but I like the effect of burnshing for this card better, I like the subtlety of it.  Even though there isn't a blushing bride stampin pastel (because it's an in colour) the pretty in pink is a pretty good substitute.  Well, thanks for hanging out and checking out my card.  Looking forward to more posts!!
