Smarty Pants

I am back with another Pals Paper Arts Challenge Entry!  I am just loving the challenge that Pals Paper Arts offers my crafting heart!  I do have to admit that I like the colour challenges a bit better than the sketches, because I feel like I am better able to be creative with the colours.  But I do still like the sketches.  It always helps me open up and use different stamp sets and often colour schemes that I normally wouldn't!  If you haven't played in any challenges before, this is one that is super enjoyable and shouldn't be missed!!

Last challenge (okay not last challenge, but last colour challenge), for the first time I was a Pals Paper Arts Pick!  It was soo exhilerating to see my card in that top 3!  Never happened to me before, so I felt pretty excited about that!!  Yay!  Made me even more motivated to aprticipate and see my card up there again!  Now I know that I can do it!

Anyways, another fun card today.  The colours for the challenge are Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral and So Saffron.  The colours look beautiful together!  And even better is that I never would have put them together!!

I decided on a fairly simple card, but it is using a few things that will be/are retired now!  The crimper, which I am going to miss because it really gives you a nice little bit of texture when you need it.  The stamp set mixed bunch which was in the occasions mini is done now...maybe it will show up in the annual catalogue, which would be awesome becuase I love this stamp set (and the coordinating punch)!  And also the sentiment is from Smarty Pants which will be retiring at the end of May!
Recipe:
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, So Saffron.
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Smarty Pants.
Inks: So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze.
Embellishments: Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon.
Tools: Crimper, 1" Circle Punch, Blossom Punch.
Adhesives: SNAIL, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for checking me out today!  And hope to see you back soon!!

Here's To You!

Hello all,

I am back with my second card from my last workshop! As I said before we had tons of fun. I learned a few more things about doing workshops. This card was maybe a bit too involved for a workshop. There were a lot of elements that made it kind of complicated to put together. It is really cute, but maybe more suited towards a technique club night or something like that. Lessons learned!! It was still fun!

Recipe:
Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade.
Stamp Sets: Send me Soaring, Friendly Phrases.
Ink: Basic Grey, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party.
Tools: Big Shot, Edgelits heart embossing folder, square lattice embossing folder, lucky limeade bakers twine, scallop edge border punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch.
Adhesives: Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL.

Thanks for checking me out today!  This card is a case of a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Heidi Boos.  Thanks for the inspiration!  The girls that were at the workshop loved the card, and it showcases a lot of the new products in the occasions mini!

Spring Time

Hello all,
I have been feeling very springy.  It is easy to feel springy when the temperature keeps getting nicer and nicer!!!  yay!!  And not to mention the challenges are all becoming more and more springy, so it's easy to get your crafting to start going towards the spring theme also!
I made this c ard with the challenge colours from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge blog.  Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip.  the colours are soo cute together.  They are fabulous for spring, but the other thing I think I may be doing is a baby card in these colours.  Pink and green are a super popular colour these days for baby girls.  Anyways, I love the Just Believe Stamp set, it is definately gorgeous, and the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set is so full of beautiful sayings, it sells itself.  There is a sentiment for every occasion.  Anyways, without further ado...

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Confetti White, Subtles Patterns DSP in Certainly Celery.
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Certainly Celery & Pretty in Pink Markers.
Embellishments: Certainly Celery 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Antique Brads, Basic Pearls.
Stamp Sets: Just Believe, Pursuit of Happiness.
Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Paper Piercer, Adorning Accents Scalloped Edgelits, Corner Rounder Punch, 11/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Simply Scored, SNAIL, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals.

I've been busy scrappin' away here!!  I've had some time off work, and so I've been taking Paisley to day home and really trying to focus on taking care of myself (getting lots of sleep) and trying to catch up on Paisley's scrapbook so that I can focus on the new baby's when it comes!!  So here is one of the pages for Paisley's scrapbook.  I did use some cricut for the lettering, as I don't have any of the big shot dies from stampin' up...yet.  ha ha ha...I just haven't been able to stomach the price quite yet, but I know that I'm going to be bucking up sometime soon!  That is all I can think about currently is getting those die sets...ha ha ha...don't tell my husband!  Anyways, I love the nursery nest suite it is soo cute and the colours are fabulous for boys and/or girls!!

Recipe:
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist, Perfectly Plum, Whisper White, Nursery Nest DSP.
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Perfectly Plum, Marina Mist, Versamark.
Embellishments: Dazzling Details (dots on the letters), subtles buttons, white bakers twine, Cherry blossom embossing folder (cuttlebug).
